I really liked Tao in this, he cares for Jongin and tries to advise him against piercing his lip, though ultimately allows him to make his own decision. Jongin's voice is great, I liked how the extent of their relationship slowly reveals itself. I think Jongin is being irrational, but I guess it's exactly as Tao said, that he's getting a piercing because of a desire to 'be himself' in spite of his idol job that doesn't always allow for that.
