Right there – just above a speck of dirt on the glass, left of the top branch of the biggest oak, at the very tip of the little bear’s tail, right where the polar star peers down at him; right there.

Or, rather; not there at all. Not even close. More like 34 trillion kilometers behind Polaris, in some all-but-straight line that hides whatever distance doesn’t – but still. Kyungsoo pulls his duvet up over his chin in the dark; feeling the earth move beneath him, feeling them both revolve around the same axis.

One day, they will come back for him.

This was really beautiful. Is Kyungsoo an alien? I liked the sense of loneliness.

aw, thank you :) that was the idea, yeah! i guess it's a mama au of sorts, where kyungsoo with his earth powers was for some reason left behind (forgotten?) when the rest went back to the exoplanet. i'm glad i managed to convey his loneliness :)
